QUANTUM FAITH by Annette Capps

INTRODUCTION

I beganstudying quantum physics because I was curious. I became enthralled when Irealized the similarities to how faith works and what Jesus taught hisdisciples about the principles of “mountain moving faith” and “the spokenword”.
I haveattempted to simplify and share with you some of what I have gleaned through mystudy as it applies to faith. If you are interested in studying quantum physicsin detail, there are many books available written in laymen’s language such as“Parallel Universes” by Fred Alan Wolf and “The Dancing Wu Li Masters – AnOverview of the New Physics” by Gary Zukav.QUANTUM FAITH
In 1972, Ifirst heard the teaching on faith and confession. It took faith in God’s Wordto believe that you can have what you say. I had never heard such a concept andhad it not been for the fact that the principle was plainly written in theBible, I would have considered it to be crazy. However, there it was in redletters, spoken by Jesus no less! “For verily I say unto you, That whosoevershall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea;and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which hesaith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Looking atit from a surface level, it would seem a ridiculous statement that Jesus made.How is it possible that spoken words would send a mountain into the sea? Forthe past 27 years, it has required faith on my part to believe that words arethat powerful. Recent study in the area of quantum physics, however, hasconvinced me that what Jesus spoke is absolute scientific fact! As Istudied the theories of quantum physics, I was reminded of a prophecy given bymy father, author and teacher Charles Capps, “Some things which have required faith to believe will no longer requirefaith, for it will be proven to be scientific fact.”

MUSTARD SEED AND QUANTUM PHYSICS
When Jesus said in Luke 17:6, “If you have faith as a grain of mustardseed, you would say…”’ He was speaking of the smallest seed that couldbe seen in His time. If He were here today, He might say, “If you had faith asan atom…” or even smaller, “If you had faith as a quark (which is a subatomicparticle)…”. The point He was making was that small things that cannot beeasily seen manifest themselves and affect things in this larger world where welive. Quantum physics is the study of things so small that we cannot see them,yet everything we see is made of these subatomic particles.
Remember,Hebrews 11:3 says: “Through faith weunderstand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things whichare seen were not made of things which do appear.” The chocolate cake you ateyesterday was made from things which do not appear. The recipe calls for water(H20). Before the hydrogen and oxygen combined into water, you could not seeanything, yet the substance for water was there. Before God spoke and said “Letthere be light”, the substance for light was there. The sound vibration of Hiswords caused the substance to manifest and appear.

WORDS ARE ENERGY
Words areenergy and energy affects matter. The energy of your microwave vibrates thewater molecules and heats the water. The energy of electricity flows to youwashing machine and powers the motor that spins the tub and cleans yourclothes. So, we can rightfully say that energy affects matter. Your words areenergy and they affect the matter in your life. When you speak the words, “This is the worst car I have ever had! You stupid piece of junk!” Those words arevibrations of energy that affect the atoms that make up that car. If you speakthose words long enough, your car will obey you!
Scientists have performed experiments with atoms and their subatomic particles such aselectrons. If you paid attention in school, you saw the diagram of an atom withthe electron orbiting it like the earth orbits around the sun.
The interesting thing is that scientists have discovered that the electron that isshown orbiting the nucleus is not always there in particle form. It exists in awave state (like a cloud, everywhere at once) until someone looks at it. Whenthe scientist observes it, it suddenly appears as a dot (particle). What we allwant to know, is, “How does it know someone is looking at it?” It obviously isresponding to the observer’s interaction with it.
One of thedifficulties in quantum physics is that the particles behave somewhatdifferently for each observer, which leads me to the question, “Does it behaveaccording to what the scientist believes?” In any event, we can definitelyconclude that Jesus was right when He taught that all matter responds to faithand words. The substance from which our world is made is influenced andmanifested by words. The things that you desire are made up of atoms. They knowwhat you believe, hear what you say and behave accordingly!

BELIEFS PRODUCE ENERGY
The thoughts and beliefs that you carry also produce an energy around you. Have youever noticed that when you are angry, things go wrong, and people are insultingand angry with you? Your thoughts and beliefs produce an energy that people canperceive and react to. If you believe that no one likes you, then you emit thatrejecting type of energy, and people will be driven away from you.
If you love people and care about them, they will feel that and be drawn to you. Have youever been around someone who is pleasant and full of love? It is an energy youcan actually feel. The energy of love is a powerful drawing card for good inyour life. After all, God is Love. When youbelieve that God love you and wants you to prosper, then you change your wordsand beliefs about money. When financial challenges used to come my way, I wouldfall into fear and begin to say things like, “Well, now we won’t be able to payoff the car, house, (or whatever)!” The fear and speaking of it is an energythat affects your checking account and stops financial freedom. Now, I havelearned to think and believe and say, “Things always work out for me.Everything that I do prospers and I have abundance in Jesus’ name.”
God is notlimited to the things that you and I see. There is an infinite supply ofsubstance waiting to be manifest according to your beliefs and words!THINGS OBEY WORDS So the Lord said, If you have faith as amustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots andbe planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.”
Luke17:6
Being thedaughter of *Charles Capps, how many times do you think I have heard that“things obey words”? Many times, I can assure you! Well, bringing things down to their atomic level andlearning that scientifically these particles respond to people has had asignificant affect on my faith. When Jesus spoke to the fig tree and said, “Noman eat fruit from thee hereafter forever”, then that fig tree dried up fromthe atomic level because of His words. When He spoke to the winds and thewaves, they obeyed Him. He was teaching us the undeniable Biblical principle that

THINGS OBEY WORDS.

(*Charles Capps, author of “The Tongue aCreative Force” and “God’s Creative Power Will Work for You”) Jesus didnot demonstrate this just to prove He was the Son of God. He demonstrated itand then told his disciples that they too can speak words of power. He wantedus to have the revelation that we are powerful spirit beings who can speak tothe mountains in our life and they will obey us.
One of thereasons that some people have hard time believing this principle is thatsometimes it takes a long time for things to manifest from the unseen into thisseen realm. It especially takes a long time when you dig up your seed every dayto see if anything is happening yet! The seed will produce in its time if you leave it alone.
Do youbelieve that the words you speak come to pass? From this time on, listen towhat you are saying to the things around you. Are you speaking curses to yourcheckbook? Are you telling it to dry up from the roots? How about yourchildren? What are you telling them? They will obey your “prophecies” offailure and delinquency.
Things areresponding to your words everyday, so speak good things to all that surroundsyour life. If you really believe Jesus’ words, you will monitor your thoughtand conversations, because you arethe one giving substance to your world through words!

FREQUENCY AND VIBRATION
All“things” (matter) are made of atoms, including your children your car, yourcomputer, and your house. None of these “things” is solid, including yourkitchen table even if it is made of oak. You may not see the space between theatoms in your table, but if you could see that small, you could also seemovement. That’s right! Your kitchen table is vibrating! Everything has afrequency of vibration. You vibrate, your car vibrates, and even the mountainbehind your house vibrates. They all have a natural frequency.
Go back toour example of the microwave heating your cup of water. How does it do that?The frequency vibration of microwaves is much higher than that of water. Whenthose high frequency waves begin to bombard the water molecules, the electronsin the atoms are excited and mover more and more rapidly (a higher vibration).The result is that the substance (water) becomes hotter. The electrons havejumped to a higher orbit changing the behavior of your water into boiling.
When youintroduce cold temperature to water, it slows down the vibrations of the atomicstructure to such a degree that the water becomes more solid and freezes. All“things” respond to the vibration of energy. What kind of energy are youproducing? Do you want your water boiling or frozen? Are you introducingfaith-energized high frequency words to your children, finances, and health? Ordo you introduce low frequency, negative words that freeze your circumstancesinto a continual series of crises?
You have achoice to use the energy of your words to change matter. The things in yourlife will obey your words. By speaking to objects such as your computer,“Stupid computer! It’s going to crash!” you will find that it obeys you. Itdoesn’t care whether crashing is a good thing or a bad thing, it just obeysyou. Or you can make another choice when speaking to “things”. “This is a goodcar. It always starts and runs well.”
“But I would be lying. I have had problemswith it,” you say.
Yes, but doyou want to reinforce that which exists or change it? By acknowledging the goodthings about the car, you create a positive belief about it which willultimately change it to what you desire.
Imaginetaking the highest frequency of all, the vibrating creative words of God, andchanging the vibration of those “things” you want changed!

STRANGE QUANTUM BEHAVIOR
What is itthat you desire? The bigger question is, “What are you choosing?” The possibilitiesfor your life are unlimited!
Quantumphysics is a realm where the known laws of physics (Newtonian physics) nolonger apply. In classic (Newtonian) physics you can repeat experiments usingthe same formulas and get the answers and responses you expect. The experimentsare repeatable. You can expect that this is the way things work. For instance,when Isaac Newton saw the apple fall from the tree to the ground, he discovereda natural law, gravity. You can experiment with gravity all you like and itwill work every time. What goes up must come down! If you jump off the roof ofyour house, you will always go down, not up.
In thequantum, subatomic arena, there are only possibilities and probabilities.Things don’t work like you think they should. Nothing is there until you look.All that exists is only an infinite number of possibilities. (Remember Jesus said, “All things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23)
Whereas gravity works whether anyone is present or not (a tree falls down, not up, evenif no one observes it), subatomic particles are not there unless someone (anobserver) looks for them. We can’t really know what they are doing, or even ifthey exist when we are not looking. It is possible that they “are not”. ICorinthians 1:28 says that God has chosen the “things that are not to bring to nought things that are.”
How can athing not be? The scripture makes no sense at all until you bring it down tothe atomic level. All tings are made of atoms, which are made of subatomic particles.These particles are not really particles because they exist only in a state ofpossibilities until someone observes them at which point they appear as a thing(particle).
If thatsounds crazy, read Hebrews 11:1 “Nowfaith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
When youhope for something, where does it exist? Only in your mind and heart. It “isnot”, it is only a possibility.
“Through faith we understand the worldswere framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made ofthings which do appear.”
Hebrews11:3
The Concordant Literal New Testament says, “…sothat what is being observed has not come out of what is appearing.” (what isvisible) This is a statement that could have been made by a physicist!
What makesit appear? You, the observer, with faith that gives substance to your hopes anddreams.
Faithobserves that which “is not”, and gives it substance so that it may appear andbecome visible. The key to manifesting matter, is to interact with that which“is not” so that it becomes what you hope for.
Your expectations and beliefs (or what you observe)is of primary importance. If youobserve and expect failure, sickness or disaster, that is exactly what willmanifest.
There arean infinite number of possibilities that exist for your life. You alone havethe power to choose which possibility becomes reality in your life. Choosewisely.

FAITH LANGUAGE AND QUANTUM THEORY
The waythings work in quantum theory is so weird and bizarre that we really don’t havethe language to describe it. This is one of the reasons that most people haveno interest in quantum physics. It simply isn’t understandable to most people.
If I couldshow you an example of subatomic behavior in this macro world where we live,you would be able to grasp the idea. But sometimes the quantum micro worldseems upside down and backwards from what we observe everyday in the natural(macro) world.
As Istudied quantum physics, it sounded very familiar to me. It sounded like “faithlanguage”. All I had been taught over the years about faith and confessionsuddenly sounded scientifically possible. All the things I accepted on faithbecause Jesus taught them, now sounded as if Jesus was speaking the language ofquantum principles. After all, just how bizarre is it to say that words canmove mountains?
In order tobelieve the words of Jesus, it is necessary to let go of old ideas and openyourself to new ones. You let go of your beliefs in the way you think thingswork and accept a new set of beliefs. The principles of faith and confessionthat Jesus taught seem like nonsense when seen from a worldly point of view,but Jesus said that we are not of this world. We are in the world, but not ofit (John 17:16). We operate in a different set of laws which Jesus called thelaws of the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is the realm where God lives.

DIFFERENT REALMS, DIFFERENT RULES
The laws of the kingdom of God defy explanation, That is becausethey do not operate strictly in the material, physical level, but on a higheroverriding principle that is the basis of creation. Genesis chapter 1 tells usthat God spoke the unseen into existence by His Word. Words are unseenvibrations that obviously have an effect on manifesting or changing matter.
You mayhave already experienced these laws that defy explanation. Have you everplanted a financial seed in faith? How is it possible that a person can giveaway $10.00 and be $100.00 or $1000.00 richer? (Luke 6:38). There is nomathematical explanation as to how this principle works. Giving away dollarbills does not make them multiply. And if it did, it would multiply in thereceiver’s hand not the giver’s hand. Yet this is exactly how Jesus taught thatthe principles of the kingdom of God operated.
The classiclaws of physics, specifically gravity says that a 180 pound man cannot walk ontop of a surface of water without sinking. So Jesus must have known about a lawthat supersedes the law of gravity.
Currentmedical science says that lepers and cripples cannot be healed and restored toperfect health in seconds or minutes. It takes time. Did Jesus bypass time?
Scientistsand even small children know that solid matter cannot pass through walls. Jesusassumed a form that walked through a wall. Did he transform his physical matterinto energy that passes through matter like radio waves through the walls ofyour home?
These behaviors were so strange that many people choose to believe that they did nothappen, because it is not possible in the physical, macro world where we live.
Physical laws we take for granted were superseded by the person of Jesus Christ and canbe superseded by those who accept the principles of the kingdom of God.“..He that believeth on me, the worksthat I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because Igo unto my Father” John 14:12.
By comparing quantum physics with spiritual laws, I want to present you adifferent way of thinking, and by doing so open a whole new avenue andunderstanding of the faith that moves mountains.

FAITH ENERGY
Faith is anunseen energy force. It is not matter, but it creates matter and actuallybecomes matter. The faith you use to call forth the manifestation of healing orfinances changes form when the manifestation takes place. That is becausefaith-energized words converts energy to matter. Words are the catalyst thatturn the substance of faith into physical manifestation. Faith is the rawmaterial from which all matter is made. Hebrews 11:1 says that “faith is the substance…” It is the invisible substance from whichyour physical world was and is created.
God usedfaith-substance and word-energy to create the universe. He spoke and the vibration (sound) of his words released the substance that became the stars andthe planets.
Words arethe carrier of substance. They carry the substance to wherever it is directed.If you direct your faith toward your bank account with the intention of filling it to overflow, then your word-energy vibrations causes your bank account tobecome a magnet for the substance of money. Money (substance) will begin tocome to you through a variety of different places. If youdirect your faith to the healing of your body, then your words carry healingenergy to the cellular level of your body. On the vibrations of your words,faith-substance is carried to your body where it becomes healing-substance.
Just as God created the universe by faith-substance and word-energy, you create your ownuniverse by your faith and your words. If you don’t like what you have created,you can change it!

EVERYTYING IS CONNECTED
In quantum mechanics, the observation of something changes it. You can never really besure if it even existed before you looked. Because you looked, you actuallyinterfered with whatever was before you looked. If this sounds confusing, itreally isn’t. It just means that we affect everything around us just by how wesee it or what we believe. Jesus said to the centurion in Matthew chapter 8, “…as you have believed, so be it done untothee.” It’s a good thing he believed his servant was healed! Ourperceptions return to us exactly what we perceive. How youinteract with this quantum field of possibilities, the unseen realm from whichall is created, determines what manifests in your life. We have been given anempty slate and Jesus said it is up to us what we choose to put on it (Mark11:23-24, Matthew 9:23).
With thedisciples, Jesus used farming to illustrate His point. Whatever you sow, thatyou will reap. If you sow corn, you reap corn. However, if you choose to sowweeds, you will reap weeds. We havebeen programmed in this world to sow the wrong kind of seed and then wonderwhat happened. Everything has become separate and disconnected, but quantumphysics brings us again to the reality that Jesus taught that all things areinterconnected. God is not up in heaven sitting on his throne sowing seeds andmaking choices for us that may be bad or good! We are sowing our own seeds andmaking our own choices for good or evil.
“I call heaven and earth to recordthis day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing andcursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live.”

We make thechoices. What you do and believe affects everyone and everything around you.You actually create your own reality. Your perception of life becomes your life.
This is whyit is so important to change your perceptions, beliefs and expectations so thatthey agree with the abundant life that has been provided. Are you perceivingand believing in the blessings or curses?

IDENTIFYING LIMITING THOUGHTS AND BELIEFS
In order to change your circumstances or any “thing” in your life, you first go to thecontrolling beliefs in your life. Your heart and your words must agree toproduce the kind of mountain moving words Jesus said we could have. “...butshall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass…” Mark11:23
Do yousincerely hold the belief that your words can change, demolish, or heal thatwhich exists, and create that which does not exist?
If youdon’t believe that you are as powerful as Jesus said, then why not? Is itbecause you feel unworthy, less than, or inferior? Where did this belief comefrom? Your schoolmates, parents, siblings?
If you holdnegative thoughts and beliefs, then you must discover them and change yourbeliefs. Until you uncover the hidden beliefs that control you life, you willnot be able to operate in the kind of power Jesus said we have. What youbelieve in your heart is the controlling force of your life. You are eithercontrolled by faith or fear. It’s fairlyeasy to identify negative, limiting thoughts and beliefs.- They bring fear.- They make youfeel bad.- They manifest inyour life as hopelessness, and expectations of sickness, poverty, failure anddefeat.- They make youfeel stuck.
You can reprogram your beliefs by speaking energizing, life-giving words of power.Speak only what agrees with who Christ said you are and you can eliminate theold belief system that has dominated you.
Remember,what is seen is created from what is unseen. Your outward circumstances are areflection of your beliefs. Before you can change circumstances, you mustchange yourself. To speak to the mountain and have it removed, you must believethose things you say will come to pass. Hearing yourself speak (confess) whatGod has said about you, puts faith in your heart and changes your perceptionsand interactions with the world around you.

CONFESS WHO YOU ARE IN CHRIST
These confessions when spoken aloud willcause the energy of faith to rise to new levels in your heart. You will bequickened to operate in a higher level of faith and expectation. I am strongin the Lord and the power of His might. I draw my strength from Him, thatstrength which His boundless might provides. (Ephesians 6:10)
I am strengthened with all might according to his glorious power. I can do allthings through Christ who strengthens me. (Colossians 1:11, Philippians 4:13.) The samespirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in me and quickens my mortalbody. (Romans 8:11.)
The law ofthe spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin anddeath. (Romans 8:2.)
I amcomplete in Christ and the fullness of God dwells in me. All the treasures ofwisdom and knowledge dwell in me through Christ Jesus. (Colossians 2:3, 9-10.)
Wisdom inmy heart is like water in a deep well, I am a person of understanding and Idraw it out. (Proverbs 20:5 Amp.)
I have perfect knowledge of every circumstance and situation in life for the Spirit ofTruth dwells in me. (John 16:13.)
I amdelivered from the power of darkness. I know the truth and the truth has set mefree. (John 8:32.)
Jesus saidthat whatever I bind on earth is bound in heaven and whatever I loose on earthis loosed in heaven. I now loose the blessings of God to flow into my life. Iexpect to be overtaken by goodness. (Matthew 18:18.)
The HolySpirit teaches me all things and brings all things to my memory. I know andremember who I am. I now use my words and my faith to manifest God’s highestand best for me! (John 14:6.)UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES!
